Tarragona’s Rambla Nova divides the city between the Part Alta (old quarter) and the lower part. It is made up of two side walkways and a large central promenade where locals and tourists can take walks and photographs of the sculptures that line it, as well as rest on its numerous benches. This promenade is attributed to the Tarragona expression “anar a tocar ferro”, which means to go and enjoy a stroll to the iron railing of the Mediterranean Balcony.
