Paseo de la independencia, is the commercial axis of the city, located at the beginning of the old quarter of Zaragoza. The promenade serves as a connector between the Plaza de Aragón and Plaza España. It is surrounded by tourist sites, such the basilica of Nuestra Señora del Pilar, next to the Plaza del Pilar, or the Monument to the sieges of Zaragoza.
